As a group of professionals involved even in educational and research activities, CAL Studio provides also services for training, analysis and research, carried out for public authorities and private bodies, from local to national scale, using Geographic Information System techniques.

CAL Studio is mainly skilled in physical planning along with urban design, cartographic support  and data processing instruments (related with the cartographic and statistical data). The main topics in our research are: territory and its transformation processes, planning tools in urban and regional planning, sector-based planning (infrastructure, facilities, tourism, trading, etc.), natural protected areas, housing development.

The research activity is based on an integrated approach, concerning the different aspects of both the territory and the human settlements, as well as their physical, functional, social and economic features.

Concerning training activities, CAL Studio is fully qualified to offer courses for technical board representatives, both skill-oriented and basic courses. To this end the two offices of Milan and Palermo are equipped in terms of logistics, human resources and ICT technical requirements.
